Grumps was a truly talented, interesting, and humble man. His abilities with music, writing, and artistry were always impressive to me. Each also typified the man that he was. His music expressed his love, his writing expressed his humour, and his art expressed his interest of the natural world. Grumps has inspired me in many ways, and will continue to do so. I enjoyed all of our conversations, inside jokes, travel experiences and other shared memories, and I will cherish them. He always showed how proud he was of me by enjoying my travels and my successes. I hope he knew that I was proud of him also. It takes a great man to live the life that he lived. I miss you Grumps x
